Ad of the Day: McDonald’s gives its jingle a Jubilee makeover with ‘One’s Loving It'
Fast-food chain McDonald’s, along with its agency partners Ready 10 and Leo Burnett, has joined in the Jubilee celebrations in the UK by giving its iconic ‘I’m Lovin’ It’ jingle a royal makeover, changing one of its menu items and even giving consumers a taste of what it feels like to dine like a royal.
McDonald's 'One's Lovin It'
‘One’s Lovin’ It’ has been recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to commemorate the Queen’s 70th year on the throne.
The official partner of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant has also made some notable changes to its menu just in time for the bank holiday weekend. Its Quarter Pounder with Cheese has been renamed as the Royale with Cheese (try saying that without doing a Samuel L Jackson in Pulp Fiction impression).
In another move that has fans of the brand excited, consumers can now enter a competition to win the Big Mac, fries and milkshake packaging made out of elegant china. In total there are 70 of the limited-edition sets up for grabs via the McDonald’s app, with the winners being crowed on June 8.
