Donald Trump live tweets scathing reactions to first Democratic presidential debate
Pugnacious US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has weighed into his potential rivals on the Democratic side by live-tweeting a series of (scathing) remarks during their first presidential debate.
In a steady stream of one-line put downs Trump dismissed the debate as amounting to ‘more free handouts’, adding that he was ‘not impressed’ by the standard of debate from the ‘clown competition’.
Trump pulled no punches in accusing front runner Hilary Clinton of ‘waffling’ and even took time to dismiss some of the debate laggards, such as Lincoln Chafee of whom he asked: “
"@PauperInAPinch: @realDonaldTrump Thank goodness #DemDebate is over. Not impressed... TRUMP2016!!! #MakeAmericaGreatAgain"

"@suzyserb: @realDonaldTrump 100,000 people watching tonight for real change. THAT WOULD BE TRUMP 2016. Checking out the clown competition

Can anyone imagine Chafee as president? No way.

As always Trump’s intervention did pep up proceedings, with many Republicans logging in to view Trump’s stream of consciousness.
Just last month, Natan Edelsburg, from The Drum’s Found Remote interviewed Justin McConney Trump’s director of social media, gaining insight into the entrepreneur’s substantial online presence.
